Request In-house Training Proposal
Why Attend This Training Course?
More Power Cables are being used, requiring well-trained engineers and technicians to maintain them. Cable system design process, which involves cable selection, ampacity determination, and sizing criteria will be discussed. This interactive training course will also present and demonstrate above grade and buried cables installation requirements, covering utility distribution (4 kV - 35 kV) and industrial and power plant (4 kV - 15 kV) cable classes. Our trainers will update participants on the latest design innovations in power cable technology and the evolving standards surrounding the manufacture of power cable. Participants will also learn about some of the latest methods in condition assessment testing, and cable rejuvenation and cable life extension. Cable faults need to found quickly so that supply can be maintained with a minimum of interruption. There are many locating methods, coupled with new detection technologies and there is no single method or combination of methods that can be used to locate all faults.

What Is The Training Course Methodology?
This training methodology illustrates the concepts involved in the above areas through practical consideration of actual real-life problems, as well as explanation of concepts by experts in area using video projectors and computer aided case studies based on practical applications. Participants will solve their system problem, where the trainee’s try to apply the skills learnt with guidance from our specialized experts. ACAD will provide participants a comprehensive assessment on the problems solved using the skills acquired in the training course.
